The Maryland Register of Wills says she was sworn in on December 1, 2018. She grew up in Worcester County and worked for 14 years in a law office handling estates and trusts before serving more than 18 years as Chief Deputy Register of Wills. She was elected Register of Wills in 2018 after the retirement of Charlotte K. Cathell.

Her official biography lists service with the Maryland Register of Wills Association and its technical committee, the Worcester County Library Foundation, Worcester County GOLD and other local organizations. It says her office is committed to serving the public with understanding, compassion and professionalism.
